Job Description
Desired profile:

• Post Graduate with preferably Nautical Science or Maritime Engineering degree plus MBA.
• Excellent communication and prior experience of minimum 8-10 years in Shipping/ Maritime.
• Must have proven track record of achieving high volume and ticket size targets in sales of technical services to global shipping companies across the world.
• Must have traveled internationally for increasing overall sales, market share, signing long term contracts with new clients and more/ continued business from existing clients.
• Proficient in all areas of shipping sales, has deep technical knowledge, fully aware of industry concepts, theories and maritime case studies/ news.
• Exemplary leader with excellent time and team management skills, multi-tasker, consultative thought process and analytical mindset.
• Proficient in using latest systems, computers/ technologies, desktop/ laptops, peripherals, mobiles, softwares and applications.
• Has rolodex of connections, strong network and associations in shipping/ maritime industry.
• Fully aware of key players, competition, local and global companies in Maritime Security, Hull Management, Offshore, Chartering and Dry Docking among other technical services.
• Go-getter, multi-tasker, flexible and adapts quickly to new and challenging environment of fact paced growing organization.

Once hired, this candidate will

• Search, research, discover and meet new prospects as well as generate more business from existing clients across all business lines and group companies.
• Attend industry events, conferences, seminars/ webinars to keep self-up to date on industry/ market news and client/ customer/ decision maker specific news and updates.
• Build strong network of CXOs and other key decision makers, existing and retired senior people across all shipping companies around the world.
• Update all meeting minutes, visiting cards (client contact details) into sales documents (word files, spreadsheets and CRMs) as well as plan, strategize an define next action points.
• Set up meetings, create/ demonstrate client presentations, proposals, negotiate best rates/ contracts and other routine sales modalities.
• Organize regular/ periodic and situation specific sales meetings with seniors and management.
• Maintain, track and regularly update/ upgrade sales pipeline dashboards and cadences.
• Innovate new techniques and methods to increase sales, revenue and profit margins.
